I was referred there for plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, & tarsal tunnel. They're very good at stretches. They talk to their patients. They ask questions, follow up, measure. I graduated today & Jasmine said all my measurements were right in the zone they need to be. The pain is still there, but as for everything else, the stretching helped. We can get along well. I've developed a relationship with Curtis, (or Justin,) Jasmine, Ally & their receptionist Sarah. They're all very friendly, & nice. They knew me the second day I went in. Taught me some stretches to do at home & that helps, but for the pain from the spurs & tarsal tunnel, I'll have to go back to my podiatrist. Also keep doing Dad jokes Sarah, they're a hoot. I have nothing bad to say about that pt location & all the people there are efficient, nice, friendly, funny. & The can focus on two patients at once, hold conversations, all while working with the clients. I had TKR of my left knee in April 2026.  Everybody at St Albans FSPT was great! There was no pressure to push for the knee bend that I was afraid of from seeing videos of people on TikTok going through PT for TNR. Yes, there was some discomfort at times, but not wrenching on peoples knees for the bend till they were crying I had seen on videos.  The process was an organized group of stretching and exercises to gradually achieve the goal of full range of motion. This allowed my knee to heal along with gaining that ROM. I was released by my Dr to return to work with no limitations after just 8 weeks of PT.  About a month before what I had expected. All the staff were friendly, caring and made me feel welcome to be there.  I would highly recommend SA FSPT to anybody needing PT.

This was my first experience with physical therapy. I was fortunate in my choosing of FSPT (St Albans). My assigned therapist was Madelyn, and I could not be more pleased with her performance and attention. She was very patient and pleasant to work with. I came to FSPH with pain I could not stand. For 8 months I had a tennis elbow and as it was then I didn't think anything would help. It was hurting constantly, only relief I had were prescription meds and they would not work at night. I spend many nights sitting in my recliner holding an ice bag on my elbow. The exercises began and Elisabeth was so kind to me telling me, bit will get better. Of course I didn't believe it but Dr  sent me so I better do the exercises. With in 6 weeks I took of my strap and the next 6 weeks passed fast. My arm is back without pain and Glory to God going strong. Thank you ALL at the FSPT you are the best, from Sarah who had to manage my gout attacks to all the rest of the wonderful people who really take care of you. I'm going for general weakness for pre transplant strength. I'm a few weeks in but the gains are noticable. There hasn't been a hint of rudeness. The staff genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. Listen disregard my google name but we all know this is Josh….i came to fspt December of 2024 after several surgeries including aka of the only leg I had left so as a double amputee who couldn’t life a 2 pound weight when I started therapy to now where I’m walking with assistance on my stubbie prosthetics Zach and Tyler first started working with me and are really amazing and have helped me build my body to more than anyone would ever expect then ally came into the picture as well as jasmine and Sarah at the st. Albans clinic and they all are amazing and get personable with u and make u feel very comfortable in anyone’s physical situation….ive got a long way to go to be able to fully walk but with this team at St. albans I know anything’s possible. Very professional and an even more friendly team working here. I had some nerve compression in my elbow that followed into my forearm. I was with them for a little over a month, and after the first two weeks there was already progress (one day a week for one hour). Highly recommend First Settlement Physical Therapy at the Saint Albans, WV, location, Jasmine S. (PT) more specifically. I appreciate the organized, clearly defined goals, monitoring and measuring of progress. I valued her active participation in my improvement plan and how it was adjusted based on my weekly progress. I came to FSPT with lower back pain, weakness and tightness. This was having a major effect on my job performance, and daily routine in general. Through Jasmine’s expert guidance and management I have recovered from my lower back injuries and am looking forward to feeling better on a daily basis. I chose First Settlement in St. Albans to work with / rehab my grandsons ankle/ ligament injury . Was thinking he would not like going , especially if exercises hurt but he gets excited on therapy days and can’t wait to arrive. Tyler and Zach have incorporated soccer balls and skills along with lots of other fun sets of exercises for him! The three have developed a special rapport and I so value that . I really dreaded having to do PT at first, but by the end, I actually enjoyed going to each session. Sounds crazy, I know, but these guys in St. Albans are just great. Sincere thanks to both Sarah and Ally; but I’ve got to give a special shout-out to my man Brent, whose pleasant personality is complemented by his dedication to helping you as a client. Dude CREATED new exercises for me to do, specially tailored to my particular ankle problem. And they worked! I am significantly better off now than when I began going in August, and Brent is the guy who guided me to better health. Everyone here is a quality and competent person, though, who really wants to help you get better. My experience at FSPT... First of all this facility has a very friendly atmosphere and also very clean. Everyone makes you feel welcome. I had a very kind and gentle therapist who took his time with me due to my disabilities. And he could not have been any more understanding. He took his time with me. If I hadn't had so much pain in other areas of my body,  I could've and would've been their #1 Patient🤭😆 This PT facility is by far the best I've ever been to (that's 4), this makes 5! I had a terrible ankle fracture in 2016.  I’ve had 5 surgeries on my ankle. In my 7 years of recovery I have been to 4 different physical therapy locations. FSPT in St Albans has been the very best! I’ve been a patient since August 2022. I have never been triple or quadruple booked, ever. Allie and all the staff are so kind and caring. They make PT fun and not boring at all. I started physical therapy at St.Albans location for balance issues around Aug of 2021..I received excellent care..In October of 2021 I had extensive shoulder surgery and again chose this location..I had lot's of complications and another shoulder procedure done at the end of Jan 2022. I have no doubt that if it had not been for the excellent care I received from Sarah and Alllie I would not have as much use of my arm as I do now. I was in PT for around 12 months due to frozen shoulder and scar tissue I do not heal well from orthopedic procedures. I was treated when I had onset vertigo and they understood the issues I was having with my neck and back that was  preventing my shoulder from healing properly and made exercises easier for me to do without causing excessive pain in other areas that have issues but still helped my shoulder.  I enjoyed my weekly visits . They treated me like family and everyone always had fun.. That means a lot when it comes to the pain we have during PT. They definitely don't treat you as a number they genuinely care for their patients and their well-being. I have and will continue to refer anyone that needs Physical Therapy to them. I have been to other Physical Therapy establishments including FSPT in St.Charleston and they don't hold a candle to First Settlement St.Albans. Don't even think twice if you need PT. The friendliness and knowledge of the staff would be enough to get them a 5 star rating. But the fact that the therapy has helped me through the pain earned them extra. My daughter was a patient here for her knee pain. She was so nervous to start but Allie and Tim made her feel so comfortable that at the end of her treatment she didn't want to stop coming in. On July 12th I broke my left knee and right ankle. I chose FSPT because the parking lot was nice and flat and was in my hometown. The employees Tim, Miranda, Sarah, Allie, Mary, and Juilet were my professional physical therapists. When I first came in I was having to walk by supporting myself on a walker and just by last Thursday (Oct. 8th) I was walking out the door by myself with no support and no limp. The therapists I had were incredible, and they really pushed me past my limits. Even times where the pain was too much they still pushed me through it. It may have felt like torture at the time LOL, but they understand that it’s for my benefit and I am incredibly grateful for the progress they have pushed me to achieve. They made each appointment worth it for me and I never walked out in pain. In the last 15 minutes of each appointment I was hooked up to an electronic machine that  soothes my muscles, it felt like they were shaking my nerves awake which was great. I was iced down during this progress too which felt like heaven. This place is easily the best Physical Therapy place I have ever been too. It was bitter sweet that I had to leave them. They became my family during a painful time in my life. If you want to heal and have great people support you through it, please pick this place! Great group of therapist and staff  who are knowledgeable, kind and very helpful.  If I have any other problems I will definitely go back there.
