After knee replacement, it wouldn't bend at all.  My first day at FSPT, 4 days after surgery, the  therapist's  were very understanding and said if it hurts stop.  The first day I could only push the bike peddle about 4-5 inches.  When I left , 3 months later I could go all the way around.  I thought that was awesome.  All of the therapist's were very nice and a lot of laughs.  It took me 3 months to feel comfortable about stopping but I'm doing great thank you Jessica, Hannah,Trevor, Mikala,  Matt and sweet little Emily at the front desk. This team are knowledgeable and caring, they work with you to get the best Results possible. From my first appointment to my last I progressed with their help. The facilities are very clean and the staff work with you through any issues you may have whether it be rescheduled appointment or anything else. This is a great group!  The facility itself is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.  They helped me/pushed me through 5 weeks of PT sessions as I recovered from a partial knee replacement.  They were very attentive and knowledgeable. First Settlement Physical Therapy has helped me through two injuries, both within 6 months. They have an amazing staff of therapist. I broke my ankle in 3 places and the staff at First Settlement took wonderful care of me.  From the initial evaluation with Trevor, to the appointments with Jessica and Heather, they watched over me carefully to ensure that I was doing OK and helping me in every way possible.  I liked to tease Jessica about "cracking the whip" at me to keep me going.  Carly and the other staff members treated their patients with the utmost care. Tonya, the Receptionist/Scheduler always greeted me with a smile and worked out my appointment times that was best suited for me.  I thank them more than I can say for helping me to walk again. When I first came here I could not move my arm. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the therapist and therapist assistants. My doctor told me a I would not have full range of motion in my arm again. They worked with me three days a week and got my arm back to full range of motion. They are an awesome group of people to work with. They know their job well. I am so glad I picked them to do my therapy, I would gladly recommend them to anyone . After an accident in which I broke my hip and tailbone requiring a hip replacement, I reached out to FSPT in Sissonville to start therapy. The wonderful staff worked closely with me, creating a plan that fit my needs, and made me feel comfortable from day one. Within a short time, I went from struggling on a walker to walking independently with no pain. Trevor Shamblin and his staff of professionals are to be commended for making everyone feel they are this location’s top priority. I had total knee replacement on December 7, 2020 and had my first evaluation on December 10, 2020.  I began my therapy on December 14, 2020 and have continued to see the Physical Therapists three times a week since then.  All of the therapists at First Settlement - Sissonville have been more than helpful, amazing and wanting me as a patient to accomplish my goals to be totally flexible and be able to use my right leg/knee as I did in the past but without pain.  All of the therapist have gone way beyond what is required of them to assist me in reaching my goal.  They encourage me to reach higher levels of flexibility and strength but with compassion and understanding. FSPT Sissonville is Awesome! The Staff are Professional and Personable and are attentive to each person's issues. When i first came there I could barely walk or stand without pain. Awesome ! These people are fantastic @the sissonville location.. from Tonya , greeting people when the arrive , and making sure all the paper work isnt an issue . Trevor is the one who I worked with. I came in using canes after a 3rd back surgery and being in a wheel chair for over a month. Lost alot of feeling and strength in my left leg , and slowly I've gained the feeling and more strength in the leg . I dont walk with canes and I can go back to work !!! They make the atmosphere very enjoyable , from quoting movie 1 liners like "I carried a watermelon" , to talking about the songs that were on the radio ... makes it alot easier to go thru the rehab process , which is tough for alot of people . So 👍👍.. I would recommend ANYONE who has a therapy need to get it resolved there .. Thank u all so much for getting me back to a functioning life!

The staff is excellent!  Everyone is professional and kind.  I watched everything get thoroughly disinfected after every client. Trevor was so good working with my little boy, who was really nervous his first visit.  Now that he is done with therapy I think he is going to miss going every week! I had went to my family Doctor & was referred to a neurologist, they had trouble diagnosing my problem (loss of +-35% of strength & about 8-9 pain) in my arm.  After being referred to 1st Settlement & being evaluated, the therapist found a pinched nerve in my arm & tennis elbow.  They started a series of exorcises, dry needle, heat & cold & weight therapies!  It took about 3-4 times attending but then my arm started feeling better. After my series of sessions (+-15) my arm is back to 100%!  The entire staff is extremely professional & on time everytime!  If at any time I need PT I will be coming back to see them!

I'm so pleased with the progress I've made with my knee . The therapy I received at FSPT has improved my mobility with walking, standing, using stairs etc. My quality of life is significantly better without the high level of pain &discomfort I no longer feel. This facility has the best therapist I have ever had. They are knowledgeable about inuries and what exercise to use to help. They are very caring and gentle but will push you to work harder every visit. Bret Ramsey and his therapist are very professional group. Bret Ramsey and his team helped me through my knee revision.  I’ve had a total of seven surgeries on my left knee and didn’t feel real confident that I would recover useful range of motion. After suffering several years with lower back and hip pain the staff here at Sissonville FSPT have helped me tremendously.  Therapists are careful, respectful, & are very knowledgeable.  Staff at the front desk are pleasant and very helpful too.   This is a clean facility and the parking is free!
