First Settlement (Mineral Wells) was a family of exceptionally and professionally trained therapists who have worked with me to help reestablish mobility following surgeries. The atmosphere is welcoming and the rotation of each therapist is caring and knowledgeable. Instruction is clear as to ways to proceed with exercises at home including printouts and pictures of each exercise. First Settlement Physical Therapy in Mineral Wells, WV is top notch. The staff is excellent. They all work together to provide the best therapy regiment. Such a wonderful group of people working at the Mineral Wells FSPT! Made me feel comfortable and they really listened to what I had to say. Not only did they listen, they were able to explain the problems I was having and suggested ways to improve what I was feeling. I will be going back after my next surgery. I have so many good things to say I dont even know where to begin. I had an osteochondroma removed from my thigh as well as a quad taken out and Mel, Taylor, and Brittany helped me in ways I can't even explain. I showed up walking with a walker and not able to bend my leg at all. To walking out without my walker, cane or anything! They cheered me on from the very beginning and pushed me to becoming stronger when I felt hopeless. They helped me strengthen my muscles back so I could take care of my kids again. I appreciate all of the people both at Mineral Wells and the Vienna facility.  Sammy at the Vienna office as well as Taylor and Melody at Mineral Wells are so easy to talk to.  All of them listen.  If there is a problem, they guide you through it with understanding.  They will tailor your program to get you through the problem and aid your progress.  I know of people at other physical therapy facilities that have had injuries from the therapy!  THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN HERE!  I'm positive of that.  They work as a team, listening not only to the patient but the patients doctor as well.  I've seen improvement already. I was in a pretty bad accident in 2018 that resulted in a lot of broken bones. Due to this, I went to physical therapy for 2 hours 3 days a week. I had surgery on my shoulder in April of 2019 and needed Physical Therapy. They did a great job. Melody worked with me and I got my movement back. She did a great job. Physical Therapy is painful, but she has such a great personality. She keeps you talking and laughing so your therapy is over before you know it and you don't notice the pain so much.
