First Settlement Physical Therapy, Ravenswood, WV were terrific in helping me through post knee replacement. All staff were pleasant and encouraging especially during times when I felt I wasn’t progressing. They saw the end result and they were right!!  If I need pt services again I will choose them. I am extremely happy and grateful to all the staff at FSPT most of all Jacalyn how worked with me the most !! From the time I walked in everyone was so friendly.I had 2 fractures and nerve issues in my back after 3 or 4 sessions I was doing much better and now after my 11th session and my last. I had knee replacement Nov 16th and started my physical therapy on Nov 20th. All the therapists were wonderful, but Ray was the one I worked with most. I only had to do 8 sessions before I was released . Would highly recommend them and I will definitely be going back there for PT when I have my 2nd knee replacement this year. This facility has very good trained therapists. They try to get to the root of your physical issues or limitations & use a variety of treatments to help you.  Most importantly is their rapport they have with their clients. I have observed how each one of them are especially helpful & caring towards the elderly. I had not found improvements or relief from my neck and shoulder pain for years. It was a constant cycle of pinched nerves, locked up muscle, with intense pain and immobility. My family doctor referred me to First Settlement and I began dry needling treatments with PT. Curtis has been a lifesaver, the tightness that I had been experiencing began to ease on my very first visit and has continued to improve. I was unable to find anywhere for my therapy after having a left total knee and this place took me in with no hesitation. Was the best therapy experience I've had. After just 11 weeks I have completed my therapy and reached my goals they are wonderful at their job and knowledgeable at what they do. They offer encouragement and never let you give up. During my time in therapy, I worked with every staff member there. My therapy took place in Ravenswood, WV. I was in therapy from march through September 27th, 2023. I had a complete reverse shoulder replacement, and wasn’t able to move my arm very well. Jaclyn, Heather, Ray, Trever,  Curtis and Alex did a great job working with me. They stretched my muscles and helped me work my arm. I’m amazed at all they did to bring me along. They became family and my friends. On my last night of therapy, I worked out and was very sorry it was my last. The people that work here are awesome. If I ever need therapy again, I’ll go back to FSPT.

After several weeks of troubled sleep, my shoulder pain sent me to my doctor who prescribed therapy at First Settlement in Ravenswood.  After two treatments of dry needling, (yes, I am now a believer),  and the correct exercise I began to get better sleep and to ask myself why did I wait. The whole staff seemed to truly care about my getting better. They always made me feel welcome as  I entered the door.  True to the sign above that entrance: " Enter as a stranger, leave as a friend". I had total knee replacement 5 weeks ago. I started PT one week later. The staff are Professional,  competent, compassionate as well as always friendly. I highly recommend FSPT Ravenswood and will return if the need arises. Jacklyn, Heather, Braden and Alex are wonderful folks and enjoyed the experience. I felt compelled to give First Settlement a shout out today❤️. I am guilty of not doing this sooner but I loved therapy here, I was there in 2021. It was a such a pleasant and positive atmosphere to be in. The staff was awesome. Frank Baker is amazing..if he suggests dry needling, do it! You will feel so much better. I had alot of pain from Scoliosis and Spinal stenosis, with limited mobility, as far as bending, turning my head, etc,  my muscles were just tight and stiff feeling all the time. Frank suggested dry needling and wow what a difference. It was unreal how much better I felt. I'd never had a planking party either but it definitely made planks way more fun, when your therapists will get down there with you, not only to challenge you but to encourage you, it showed me they care and have so much heart for what they do. They want you to feel better and it shows in their actions. I highly recommend them to anybody and everybody who needs therapy. You won't be disappointed.

I had to have major Neck and Lower Back in 2018. In 2020 I had to go back to Physical Therapy for Both hands I had Carpool Tunnel Surgery! These folks are Awesome ! Ever Therapist would go out if their way to make our days go by a little Brighter! Everyone made me feel at home and the Atmosphere there is very friendly, peaceful and I may add somewhat fun 🤩! So even when in pain and you feel like there's no hope? Rethink and tell yourself our Little community here in Ravenswood WV are very Blessed to have FSPT here in our town. When I first started Therapy, I had pain and very little movement in my shoulder, Now that Therapy is complete, I can move pain free. I highly recommend FSPT, Frank and his Therapeutic team are awesome and definitely make PT Pleasent. FSPT will always be my choice if and when I need Therapy in the future. FSPT has been a Godsend! After first going here for PT after a knee replacement in April I came back in June for pre-op PT for more back surgery. I have been in agony since back surgery in 2017. I have done PT at this location for awhile.  I have been doing the aqua therapy, which is wonderful.  The staff are excellent and great to work with.
