The therapists were patient & knowledgeable. They knew when to go on to the next exercise & when to hold off. I had not been able to lift my left arm for 1 year & 8 months, but 2 rotator cuff surgeries later, I can lift my arm straight up!

I took a bad fall in April and injured my right shoulder RTC…luckily I did not need surgery and my doctor prescribed physical therapy twice weekly for six weeks. What I did not know was the people who work at First Settlement Physical Therapy are like family! They really care and have transformed my life! The exercises they gave me helped me get stronger and made such a difference! My insurance allowed a few more visits and now I am ready to soar! I can’t thank this team enough! I spent a lot of time at this facility from September till February. Physical therapy first for reverse shoulder replacement then total knee replacement. Mountain State Physical Therapy is awesome! They are professional, knowledgeable, personable, and really care and understand the needs of the patient! Andy & Kristen are very professional and knowledgeable, listen carefully to their patients, and customize/change the care plan as needed. This was my 2nd knee replacement, but 1st time with Mountain State PT.  Andy is very motivating, and encouraged me to limits I didn't know I had! Tiffany is on top of appointments and is so friendly.  The atmosphere ( music, friendly interactions,  cleanliness) makes you feel like you're part of a family. My treatment at Mountain State Physical Therapy in Harrisville was excellent; and well worth the one hour drive to get there.  The staff was efficient, thorough and kind.  They began treatment by reviewing my long history of several years in therapy for a similar issue.  The therapist located the source and cause of my pain, then developed a plan.  I was assured we were on the right track as they promptly began providing relief and taught me a few new exercises. The faculty and equipment is always clean and ready to use as well as plenty of floor space. The staff is friendly, helpful and strive to make the patient better. I sought help with a shoulder injury that was so debilitating I was unable to handle a cup of coffee without severe pain. After 12 sessions, including the initial assessment visit, I am now pain-free and able to complete activities that were not possible for me to do prior to therapy such as weight training and isometric exercises. Kelly and Dr. Gandee are both very professional and personable at the same time. The office runs smoothly. Scheduling and changing scheduled appointments is easy, and the facility is very clean and comfortable. Proper steps are taken to sanitize equipment I used during my visit to assure the next client is working with clean and safe equipment. This is an important piece of information for those concerned during this COVID-19 crisis. I appreciate the knowledge, professionalism, and work ethic of the physical therapist. My condition is improving with my scheduled sessions  as well as the at home suggested exercises and stretches I am doing. I highly recommend Mountain State Physical Therapy in Harrisville, WV. Very professional staff. Couldn’t ask for a better facility this close to home! Everything is always clean, there’s adequate space for all activities, and all equipment is kept nice. The doctor truly pays attention to your needs and his education shows through all work done. Highly recommend! After knee replacement surgery, just going home and convalescing would have been my plan but my doctor informed me otherwise. I was fortunate to be the first patient at the new Mountain State Physical Therapy office in Harrisville, WV. Physical therapy is a painful joy that you appreciate after you've attended 20 sessions. The therapist is the best I've been to and the help he's given me from his wisdom and knowledge has changed the way I walk, my balance and has helped me with a speedy recovery!  I would give the Harrisville location of Mountain State Physical Therapy a five out of a painful but successful five!
